About Durkin’s Pizza

Durkin’s Pizza is a neighborhood pizzeria in West McKinney, Texas, at the corner of Custer Rd and State Highway 121. This is our original store, and today it is our only one.

Our story

Durkin’s Pizza opened in McKinney in 2008. Its founder, Michael Durkin, grew up in Plano, worked at a local pizza restaurant as a teenager, and set out to bring back the original pizza restaurant: no gimmicks, just pizza made to order. He ran Durkin’s until September 2022, when he passed it on to its current owners, a group of five friends who are passionate about making the best pizza McKinney has to offer.

Our motto is simple: serve our customers only food we would feed to our own families. Quality comes first in everything we do, and we have kept the same recipe that people loved, including the fresh dough and the P.T.S. sandwich. Gluten-free and cauliflower crusts and Alfredo pizza were already on the menu. Since taking over we have added the 12” thin crust, baked wings made from scratch, Indian fusion pizzas, and cakes and ice cream, to make Durkin’s a more rounded experience. Where we are

You will find us at 8930 State Hwy 121 Ste 594, McKinney, TX 75070, on the northeast corner of Custer Rd and SH 121 next to QuikTrip, with free parking out front. It is where McKinney, Frisco, Allen and Plano meet. Our former Frisco and North McKinney stores have closed, so West McKinney is the one place to find us. We are open every day, 11 AM to 10 PM.

What we make

Our dough is made fresh every day with unbleached, unbromated flour, and every pizza is made to order. The menu has more than the usual:

• Hand-tossed pizza from a 10” small to a 16” large, including a 12” thin crust.
• Indian and desi pizzas such as Paneer Tikka and Chicken Tikka, which you will not find at most pizza places in town.
• Gluten-free and cauliflower crusts for guests who avoid wheat.
• Alfredo pizza with a creamy Alfredo sauce seasoned with garlic and black pepper.
• Baked chicken wings in eight sauces, plus salads, sides and desserts.

Deals and lunch

We run a different deal on several days of the week, from the Sunday Funday medium cheese pizza to the Saturday pizza-and-wings special. Lunch specials run every day from 11 AM to 4 PM.
